A Message from Jaimie
Growing up in a family where transitions, anxiety, and depression were part of everyday life, I developed a deep understanding of how emotional struggles can shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. That personal insight fuels my passion for helping others navigate change with compassion and courage.
At Nourivida Wellness, I provide counseling that meets you exactly where you are whether you’re a parent supporting a struggling child, a teen facing life changes, or an adult trying to rediscover balance. My goal is to help you understand your emotions, build confidence, and develop practical tools that make everyday life feel lighter and more manageable.

My Approach
Clients often describe me as kind, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy works best when there’s trust, empathy, and collaboration. I’ll listen deeply, meet you where you are, and gently challenge you when it helps you grow.
My sessions draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Client-Centered techniques to create a personalized experience. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and build practical coping skills to improve self-esteem, communication, and emotional regulation.
Areas of Specialty
I work with children, teens, college students, and adults who are navigating:
-
Anxiety and depression
-
Neurodiversity and emotional regulation
-
Attachment and relationship challenges
-
Oppositional behaviors or defiance (ODD)
-
Life transitions
-
Family and behavioral struggles
My approach emphasizes collaboration, education, and normalization helping clients understand that there’s no timeline for healing and no single “right way” to grow.
Professional Background
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
My clinical background includes extensive training in:
-
CBT – understanding and reframing unhelpful thought patterns
-
DBT – building mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress-tolerance skills
-
Solution-Focused Therapy – emphasizing strengths and achievable goals
-
Attachment-based work – fostering healthier connections across the lifespan

Beyond the Office
I’m originally from Connecticut but now call Florida home. Family is central to my life, I travel back often to stay connected with loved ones. In my downtime, you’ll find me outdoors hiking, paddle-boarding, or soaking in the sunshine. I value balance and self-care, and I encourage my clients to do the same as part of maintaining emotional health.
